Terms of Service

Rakam ("Rakam", "we", "us") provides a subscription-based service that gives users virtual United States and United Kingdom phone numbers for receiving SMS and one-time passcode (OTP) verification messages. By creating an account or using rakam.app or our mobile applications (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your country of residence.

You agree that you will not use the Service to:

• Engage in fraud, impersonation, harassment, or any unlawful activity;
• Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or conduct phishing;
• Violate the terms of service of any third-party platform you verify with;
• Resell, sublicense, or share your number without our written permission;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without refund where permitted by law.

The Service is offered on a recurring monthly subscription basis. Payments are processed by our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle handles billing, currency conversion, and applicable taxes. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Numbers are provided through licensed telecommunications partners. While we aim for continuous availability, a specific number may occasionally need to be replaced for regulatory or carrier reasons. If this occurs, we will provide a replacement number at no additional cost.

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that every third-party platform will accept a virtual number, as acceptance is controlled by those platforms. We are not responsible for messages delayed or blocked by upstream carriers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rakam's total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
